This product is perfect for use on residential and commercial projects, including floors, walls, and external coverings. It can be applied to ceramic, marble, stone, or concrete surfaces, as well as prefabricated concrete and gypsum boards.
Installation Instructions:
Surface Preparation: Ensure the substrate is clean, free from dust, oil, grease, or any loose or flaky materials. Absorbent substrates should be firm, compact, and free of friable areas. Mechanical abrasion may be necessary for substrates with laitance or a powdery surface, followed by thorough vacuuming to remove dust.
Mixing: For non-absorbent substrates, mix the product briefly before use to ensure an even consistency. Active Prime Fix is ready to use straight from the bottle. For highly porous substrates, dilute the primer with water in a ratio of 1:4 to improve absorption and penetration. In some cases, such as calcium sulphate-based substrates, a two-coat application may be required.
Application: Using a roller or flat brush, apply an even coat to the surface. Allow the product to dry for approximately 15 minutes until touch dry before overlaying. For best results, apply the product with perpendicular strokes to ensure full coverage. In highly absorbent areas, a second coat may be necessary.
Post-Application: Before proceeding with the next layer of material (self-levelling compounds, adhesives, etc.), verify that the moisture content is suitable for the application. The product enhances workability, particularly when using thin-layer self-levelling products.
Cleaning and Maintenance: Clean tools with water immediately after application to avoid hardening. The product is eco-friendly, emitting low VOCs, making it safe for indoor use.
